Integrated and sustainable water management
AXIA stands out for its renewable energy matrix, with 97% of its energy generated from hydropower, making water a fundamental and strategic resource for the company. Contributing to the protection of this resource means investing in the long-term sustainability of our operations.
Efficient and integrated management, based on the rational and sustainable use of water, is one of the guidelines of Axia’s Environmental Policy and Water Resources Policy, updated in 2025.
Water Use Efficiency
Continuous monitoring, strategic governance, and initiatives to reduce consumption and improve water efficiency
ECOINFRA
Ecoinfra is a water and energy efficiency program aimed at implementing effective solutions for the efficient use of water, energy, and waste in administrative facilities.
In 2025, a reuse pilot project began with the implementation of rainwater harvesting in Guamá (PA), with plans to expand the initiative to other company units.
Water Working Group
In 2024, a Water Working Group was established within the Socio-environmental Committee to discuss strategic issues related to water management.
Throughout 2025, the group led the update of Axia’s Water Resources Policy and developed initiatives focused on water stress assessment in the basins where the company operates.
